After rashly breaking up with Stella (Sarah Chalke), Ted is involved in a car accident. He re-evaluates his life and relationship with Stella, who didn’t realize she had been dumped. Surrounded by Marshall, Lily, and Robin, Stella then dumps him. Meanwhile, Barney rushes to the hospital but is hit by a bus, seriously injuring him and leading to Ted and Barney’s reconciliation. Ted proposes to Stella after meeting in a Chuck E. Cheese-like funhouse.
